Adam Ant - Persuasion. This is one of a few suggested album covers for the adam Ant Persuasion Album | |
Headgear - This is
a excellent Adam Ant song that should have been released
as a single. It has a good rythum and a catchey bridge
after the second chorus. This is one of the tracks performed by
Adam Ant on the Persuasion tour in the US.
"Soul pirates,
drifting in a sea of bliss. Soul pirates, get your headgear around
this"
Persuasion - This was due
to be the first single from the Adam Ant Persuasion album. It
is also very catchey and would sound great played in a club.
"Woh Woh Woh Oh Oh,
Persuasion, you know what I mean now"
Brain Candy - This is
slower than the previous two tracks.
"Brain candy, melts
in your mouth, not your hand"
Don't Knock It -
This track is pretty average too, a bit more up-tempo than Brain
Candy.
"You don't know when
to stop, just like a bull in a china shop. Oh don't knock it til you
got it"
All Girl Action -
This is a great song! The bass guitar on this is especially good,
and Adam's vocals sound great! The only disappointing thing is the
chorus which just repeats the same line over and over again.
"All girl, all girl,
action."
Obsession - This track
grows on you and before long can be an obsession (hehe).
"Obsession with your
body, obsession. Obsession with your brain, obsession. You want the
world and you want it now, my oh my."
Seems to Me - An absolute
classic, however, this is the track that was never even intended to
be on the album. This is the kind of song you want to sing
along to.
"And it seems to me,
we've got a new aristocracy"
Little Devil
"Time, all really
need is time, let's get together and fry, you little devil"
Sexatise You - Very
very catchey, and would have done well in the charts with the right
promotion.
"Don't ever let your
private life, get in the way of your sex life"
Survival of the Fetish
"Survival of the fetish" (that's all in the
chorus!)
In my
opinion, this is a fantastic album. It is better than Manners and
Physique, and has many songs which could have been released as
singles. The guitar sound is great, a lot more evident than on
Manners. This was probably written with the American audience in
mind, but that is not to say that the European fans wouldn't like
this. |
